Today, I accepted Dante Anderson’s letter of resignation from the office of State Master Councilor.
This resignation has triggered Section VII of the By-Laws of the Oregon State Council, Order of DeMolay.
“In the event of a vacancy in the office of State Master Councilor, the State Senior Councilor and State Junior Councilor shall move up, upon the approval of the Executive Officer, in consultation with the State Dad Advisor. No State Junior Councilor shall be appointed, and the State Council Secretary shall not move up to State Junior Councilor.”
Therefore, effective immediately, Caleb Bryan will assume the duties, responsibilities, and authority of the office of State Master Councilor, and Diego Legorreta will assume the duties of the office of State Senior Councilor. Both will be assisted by the current, appointed officers of the State Corps.
In closing, I respect Dante’s decision to step aside in the best interest of Oregon DeMolay, and I want to thank him for his service on behalf of its members over the years.
Fraternally,
Derek G. Sprague, PGM
Executive Officer
Steven Crane, PGM – Grand Secretary, DeMolay International
