Hello, Members and Friends of Oregon DeMolay!
This past year has been one for the record books. We have endured and we will grow and be better because of it. Coming up very soon is our first in-person event, Oregon DeMolay Day on July 10th in Bend, OR. We will be celebrating the achievements of the past year, initiating new brothers, and officially installing our new State Officers. More information on this event can be found on our Facebook page and our website at ordemolay.net. Your team of state officers is hard at work planning a great year ahead, so keep a close eye on the Oregon DeMolay website and Facebook page.
I’d like to make sure that as we start coming together and planning our chapter-level events, that we schedule and observe our Obligatory Days. Our upcoming obligatory day is My Government Day. This is to be observed during the month of July. There are many ways to observe this; some examples could be by marching in a parade, visiting your state capitol or city hall, and many other different ways. Many local governments have started streaming their council/commission meetings and are available to attend remotely, so that could be a great place to start looking if you haven’t already planned something. I look forward to hearing about how chapters around the state observed My Government Day over this next month.
I would like to highlight all of the things that Oregon DeMolay is doing this year. To assist me in doing so, I’m asking all of our Master Councilors this year to let me know about their upcoming events via email, Discord, or Facebook Messenger.
SAVE THE DATE: August 20-22, 2021- Oregon DeMolay WOFAB
